Velukkaran Buildmate

We started our new establishment Velukkaran buildmate on 14/11/2015. This deals with all type of False Ceiling and Grid ceiling materials of globally top brands. Rather than offering different type of products we want to be a solution for false ceiling. Ceilings are classified according to their appearance or construction.

WHY CHOOSE FALSE CEILINGS

False ceilings are not just a design element. They also offer several performance benefits.

AESTHETICS

  1. A designer look for your homes: a style statement that reflects your personality.
  2. Elegant and smooth finish: No waviness and unevenness that you would get with plastered surfaces.
  3. Lighting options: False ceilings can truly light up your home by opening up options such as spot lighting (white lights for reading) and mood or diffused lighting (for parties or a relaxed atmosphere).
  4. Concealed wiring: Wiring for overhead fixtures like fans, lights, air-conditioners can be easily routed between the false ceiling and the soffit. This eliminates the need for a tangle of wires on your ceiling and enhances the look of your home.

PERFORMANCE

  1. Energy efficiency: False ceilings reduce the air volume of a room and as a result, the air-conditioning load. So, you end up paying lower power bills.
  2. Thermal insulation: Top floor apartments or independent houses where the terrace above the ceiling is exposed to the sun can get uncomfortably hot in summers. False ceilings provide thermal insulation by creating an air gap between the soffit and the false ceiling. This makes the room much cooler.
  3. Sound insulation: A common problem in an apartment complex is the sound coming from the apartments above. A false ceiling reduces this sound by providing an insulating surface between your home and the one above.

Our products details are given below

Seamless Ceiling Boards

A false ceiling is suspended from the main ceiling. The suspension is fixed to the walls, roof or beams of the superstructure. In simpler words, a false ceiling is a second ceiling that can bring in extra features to enhance aesthetics and ease out some functional aspects too. False ceiling materials come in several varieties.

1. Calcium Sylicate Boards

Calcium silicate is the chemical compound Ca2SiO4, also known as calcium orthosilicate. It is one of a group of compounds obtained by reacting calcium oxide and silica in various ratios.Calcium silicate is a white free-flowing powder derived from limestone and diatomaceous earth. It has a low bulk density and high physical water absorption. It is used in roads, insulation, bricks, roof tiles, table salt and occurs in cements, where it is known as belite . Calcium silicate is commonly used as a safe alternative to asbestos for high temperature insulation materials. Industrial grade piping and equipment insulation is often fabricated from calcium silicate. Its fabrication is a routine part of the curriculum for insulation apprentices. Calcium silicate competes in these realms against rockwool as well as proprietary insulation solids, such as perlite mixture and vermiculite bonded with sodium silicate. Although it is popularly considered an asbestos substitute, early uses of calcium silicate for insulation still made use of asbestos fibers. One of the most successful materials in fireproofing in Europe is calcium silicate.

2. Gypsum Boards

It is a panel made of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper. It is used to make interior walls and ceilings. Drywall construction became prevalent as a speedier alternative to traditional lath and plaster. The raw gypsum is heated to drive off the water then slightly re-hydrated to produce the hemihydrate of calcium sulfate. The plaster is mixed with fibre (typically paper and/or fibreglass), plasticizer, foaming agent, finely ground gypsum crystal as an accelerator, EDTA, starch or other chelate as a retarder, various additives that may decrease mildew and increase fire resistance (fibreglass), and wax emulsion or silanes for lower water absorption. The board is then formed by sandwiching a core of the wet mixture between two sheets of heavy paper or fibreglass mats. When the core sets it is then dried in a large drying chamber, and the sandwich becomes rigid and strong enough for use as a building material.

3. Cement Fibre Boards

Cement Fibre Board is a building material used to cover the exterior of a building in both commercial and domestic applications. Fiber cement is a composite material made of sand, cement and cellulose fibers. A cement board is a combination of cement and reinforcing fibers. Cement board can be nailed or screwed to wood or steel studs to create a substrate for vertical tile and attached horizontally to plywood for tile floors, kitchen counters and backsplashes. It can be used on the exterior of buildings as a base for exterior plaster (stucco) systems and sometimes as the finish system itself.

Cement board adds impact resistance and strength to the wall surface as compared to water resistant gypsum boards. Cement board is also fabricated in thin sheets with polymer modified cements to allow bending for curved surfaces.

Suspended Ceiling Materials

If your latest renovation project includes a new ceiling, don't panic at the thought of overhead drywall work. In the right situation, a suspended ceiling offers some real advantages over the permanent variety. First, ducts, pipes and cables hidden above a dropped ceiling remain accessible for repair or modification. And second, suspended ceilings are better sound barriers than drywall ceilings.

1. Metal ceiling

Metal suspended ceilings are generally specified for their high specification finish and their ability to meet the performance and sustainability features of modern buildings. They are available either plain or with a variety of perforation patterns and can also be supplied in the full range of Metal ceiling system.Metal tiles when used in conjunction with various insulation materials are capable of providing a flexible approach to acoustic performance.

Advantages of Suspended Metal Ceilings:

  • Excellent Aesthetic
  • Increased lifespan
  • Standard and bespoke sizes available
  • Ease of cleaning
  • Durable and Robust product range

Moreover you can also combine the different tiles for mineral fiber ceiling panels and create beautiful pattern that is really unique and novel to be admired by everybody. Not only this, the advantages associated with these kinds of ceilings are also numerous. These types of tiles are impact resistant and water resistant thus can be easily cleaned by water. They are scratch resistant also thus ensuring your ceiling’s looks does not diminish for years. They also have an excellent ability to reflect light along with great sound absorption properties. With this kind of ceiling you can be tension free of catching its fire, it is fire resistant as well. The biggest advantage is that by installing these ceilings tiles, you don’t have to worry about bacteria or molds infections as they are moisture resistant offering hygienic solutions.

3. PVC Laminated Gypsum Tiles

Channels and Grids

Channels and Grids of almost top companies available here. We are offering first quality channels that too having good gage and weight.

DRYWALL PARTITION MATERIALS

We are offering a good solution for dry wall partition. We used to to offer products like cement fiber board, heavy duty board, calcium silicate boards and Raphicon panels for drywall partition. We are offering good weighted channels also for supporting.

INSULATION MATERIALS

Insulation Materials Blocks airflow by expanding and sealing off leaks, gaps and penetrations. (This can also keep out bugs or other vermin). It Can serve as a semi-permeable vapor barrier with a better permeability rating than plastic sheeting vapor barriers and consequently reduce the buildup of moisture, which can cause mold growth. It Can fill wall cavities in finished walls without tearing the walls apart (as required with batts). It Works well in tight spaces (like loose-fill, but superior) andProvides acoustical insulation ,Expands while curing, filling bypasses, and providing excellent resistance to air infiltration (unlike batts and blankets, which can leave bypasses and air pockets, and superior to some types of loose-fill. Wet-spray cellulose is comparable.).It Increases structural stability (unlike loose-fill, similar to wet-spray cellulose) and Can be used in places where loose-fill cannot, such as between joists and rafters. When used between rafters, the spray foam can cover up the nails protruding from the underside of the sheathing, protecting your head.It Can be applied in small quantities and Cementitious foam is fireproof.
